VINTAGE BRIDGE TALLYS

The one on the left is marked "copyright 1901", the one on the far right would also be about the same time and the middle again Art Deco from the 1920s or early 1930s.  I still have a set of 8 different Art Deco place cards which I will post another day.  Enjoy!

VINTAGE ART DECO BRIDGE SCORE PAD COVER

I've given you both the full cover back and inside so you can crop and use whatever you wish.  This one has a bit more wear and tear so it's up to you to use as is or fix it up!

VINTAGE BRIDGE TALLY "FANS"

Still with a bit of the Art Deco influence, these images are more likely from the 1930's.  Can you imagine the ladies over for bridge using these?

HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND WARM WISHES FOR THE NEW YEAR

Thank you to all of my followers and those of you who check in regularly to see what I might be up to!  I so appreciate your encouragement and support.  For the most part the last six months have seen me housebound, creating and connecting with all of you has truly helped me keep a happy, healthy outlook.  We often do not know that we have made a difference in the lives of those whose paths we cross, you have made a difference for me.

All my best wishes for your holidays and the coming year.

VINTAGE HOLIDAY CONE IMAGE

A few weeks ago the DH came home with some vintage paper pieces for me.  They are all of Dutch origin and I'm fairly certain date to the early 1950s.  These included some Christmas themed cones.

My friend Heather has once again worked her special magic and erased the "wear and tear" from one of the cones and created several sizes of the image.  I am delighted to share these with you. Remember to click on the image and then save the larger image for best resolution.   These are gif files and will print out exactly as you see them.  For durability print them out on a heavy paper, using double sided tape on the white edge to hold them together.

If you want to get some ideas and see this at it's best, Heather has used the cone for a Really Reasonable Ribbon design team project which she has posted today.   And oh it is sweet!   The perfect name has been used for Really Reasonable Ribbon check out all the possibilities!

MY "MERRY FAMILY" CHRISTMAS TAGS

No they really aren't "my" family!  These images are from Michelle of  Digital Collage Sheets.  Fell head over heals for this set LOL  I just couldn't resist playing on the sober expressions.  I have some special plans yet for "Granny Mary Merry"!   Still working on producing a pile of tags for our girls, so keeping these simple - Stickles, dimensional embellishments and a bit of crinkled ribbon!

THE WOLF AND SEVEN KID GOATS (VINTAGE IMAGE 5 OF 6)

It's 2:30 in the am and I can't sleep, seems like a good time for a post!  Another story book illustration from my set of vintage German picture blocks.

I remember this story from my own reading as a child.  Grimms'  Fairytales and such, the more "grimm" and gruesome the better.  The Brothers Grimm and their tales have quite a history in themselves, for an interesting read look them up on Wickipedia.

PUSS N BOOTS - VINTAGE IMAGE 4 OF 6

Another image from my vintage German picture blocks.  Puss n boots or maybe you know the story as Dick Whitington?  These old story pictures remind me of going to the Christmas pantomime with Bob's parents and our two little ones in Whiterock at the little theatre. Now we are the grandparents taking whomever is home for the holidays and their children to the pantomime.

LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD - VINTAGE IMAGE (2 of 6)

A story book illustration from a vintage set of German picture blocks.   McLean and his little sister Olivia are going out as Red Riding Hood and The Big Bad Wolf for Halloween, I am certainly going to do something with this one!

HANSEL AND GRETAL (1 of 6)

How about a storybook witch!  Perfect to my way of thinking.  This image is from a vintage set of German picture blocks.

VINTAGE IMAGES - SPANISH WORD CARDS

I have a set of these cards though I am not really sure if they are meant to be a game or perhaps a learning tool.  These four I think are great for a Halloween  project or if you are up to it how about Day of the Dead!
