PAPERDOLL VALENTINE TAG (JULIE NUTTING/PRIMA)
Paperdoll playtime! I love the Julie Nutting stamps, imagine how much fun we would have had as children creating these.
I have stamped the image on a variety of (mostly) Martha Stewart Valentine papers, cut them out and pushed the pieces around to find the mix I liked. I prefer to use a light pattern for the face and arms otherwise I am tempted to draw in a face..not always with great results LOL I used bits and pieces from my Valentine stash to create the background and embellishments. I have built this tag on a 3.5 x 8.5 inch background.
Check out Julie Nutting on YouTube!

HALLOWEEN STEAMPUNK PAPERDOLL
I found this articulated digital paperdoll by searching for Halloween items on Etsy! What a lucky day that was. If you are intrigued (you should be!) check out Rhonda's Originals.
These were quite easy to put together once I got over my excitement and saw the directions :) Being the magpie that I am of course I loaded both pieces up with glitter! These went into a Halloween Swap I have done.
I will be doing more of these!

PAPERDOLL BIRTHDAY TAG (JULIE NUTTING/PRIMA)
Spent last weekend at a craft retreat with a couple of my crafty friends..lots to tell about that! One of the other crafters was working with paperdoll stamps which we were ooohing and aawwing over..she generously let several of us stamp a few to work with. The stamps are designed by Julie Nutting for Prima, Julie has done several videos so run and have a look! This is my take on one of her tags.
I have used papers from Simple Stories and G45, Prima flowers, Cinnamon Stickles, Memory Box and PSX stamps and vintage sheet music medallions. The tag is 8.5 x 3.5 cut from a manila file folder. The paperdoll stamp is about 7.5" and popped up off the tag. Have you played paperdolls lately?

VINTAGE PAPER DOLLS
This one is "Flossie" published by Selchow & Righter of New York, circa 1905. I was fortunate to find her in the original paper envelope along with several costumes, which I will post for you in the next while.

RAPHAEL TUCK & SONS (PAPER DOLL & COSTUME 1890s)
Some of the finest paper dolls were produced by Raphael Tuck & Sons. I believe these are from one of the earlier series in the 1890s. These are scans from my own ephemera collection, so as usual click on the image and save the second larger image for best results.
Marked on the back "No 7 Green"
Marked on the back "Gown and Hat A for No 7" (the sets came with 4 costumes)
