I actually cut into my 1943/44 Eaton's Catalogue! See my next posts for your own image. The background on these is from the toy (games) section - just a few pages compared to what you find today. I inked the edges with Stazon Saddle Brown and then a light coat of Rock Candy Distress Paint. The tags are DaisyDs rubons which I mounted on cardstock and popped up. The edges have all been trimmed with Platinum Stickles. The rickrack are new bits, the cotton vintage. Easy with a practicality to suit the war-time era.
they are wonderful I love all the layers Sandi very cool some one will be lucky to get these on a parcel Hugs wendy
ReplyDeleteThese would make great gift tags, the kind you pass along to your daughter!
ReplyDeleteOh, how could you cut into that catalogue! Mind you, the results are well worth it. Love what you've done.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the compliment on the videos - I felt they were too short to be very informative, but VideoJug actually wanted them to be around 2 minutes each originally! What could anyone say in that amount of time????
Thanks for visiting - the blog's looking great! Hugs from the UK.
These are great vintage tags!
