SHE SELLS SEA SHELLS - A SCRAPBOOKING LAYOUT

I'm submitting this to the Alphabet Challenge Blog - this week the challenge is "Q for Quotes".  Click on the title to go directly there or see my Challenge Sites links.  Here the title is quoting a nursery rhyme  and "Once your feet have touched the warm sundrenched sand on the seashore...You will never ever be the same" by Patsy Gaul is the quote in the circle at the bottom.

Sometimes (once in a great while!) just simple does it.  These candid photos of my sister Jena and granddaughter Lucy aren't great photos of them but I love the light, colors and sparkle of the water.  I added some simple gem corners and faux stitching to the flourish.  The background paper, flourish, quote and paper I used to cut the title are all from Quick Quotes Paper "By the Bay" line.  This little company is located in Chehalis WA - which is where both Jena and I grew up.  The paper line suits these pics perfectly and of course I love the personal connection.

This was Lucy's first birthday and the party was at Porpoise Bay BC.  A couple of weeks later Lucy was running - not walking!
