THE SUMMER OF COLOUR CHALLENGE

Kristin of "Twinkle, Twinkle" has started a summer challenge based on a different colour each week.  The challenge begins this week with participants posting a bit of what their plans are and linking up.  Not only does the idea of working with a specific colour each week intrigue me -

THERE ARE NO OTHER RULES

about what to create!  I can change it up every week if I like!  One of my summer goals is to create an art journal based on a recent trip to Cuba, I also want to get back to doing scrapbook layouts of the grandkids.  On a trip back to my hometown last month I came home with several bags of old family pictures and ephemera.  And just maybe I can reduce some of my precious stash (and collect more!).

Kristin has given us the colour for next week - blue!   Blue summer sky, blue summer water, cobalt blue depression glass, blue willow china - so many choices!

I collected a number of small acrylic canvasses in Cuba to frame for the grands but I also think they will be delightful in my art journal - maybe I will use something like this!

  1. That sounds like a great challenge! I've recently realized that just about all I do is blue and am looking for color challenges to get me out of my comfort zone.

    Cute kitty, too!
