What! What? Yep, What's on your workdesk Wednesday! It's a free license to snoop on crafty sisters around the globe. Who knew this would be so much fun? The Grand Snoop Mistress is Ms Julia at Stamping Ground - check it out!
From the left; still working on tags and looking through that same old photo album looking for old photos to use, a pile of snowflakes destined for "Angel Tags", an envelope of tags destined for my daughter Allison, some new rolls of holiday trim and ribbon with a couple of vintage ornaments sitting on top. The pink and black Christmas cards..been working on those for a couple of years! This was when I discovered how I HATE doing the same thing over and over. So after cutting out the base, mats and stamping the fronts...I just lost interest LOL So I try to do a couple each year until the darned things are finished! I never was really keen on the design but I had been given all of this pink qood quality cardstock. I have learned mostly to say no thank you now!
Thanks for stopping by - your blog is truly magical! :-)
ReplyDeleteYour desk looks so organised! I love that little pile of pic on the left and I think the pink card is beautiful - but I do like pink. The stamped sentiment is fabulous. Happy WOYWW, Anne x #65
ReplyDeletegreat looking desk! Love the tag and all the things to snoop through today! Thanks for sharing and have a great week. Vickie #63
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the mass production front. Unlike previous years I'm making individual cards for special people rather than loads of the same design. Good luck with finishing the pink card up. Could you ink over it to change the colour? Works for me. Happy WOYWW, hugs Butttons #64
ReplyDeleteLovely vintage look to your desk with all those fabulous images... Maybe Buttons is right - some inks or sprays to shift the colour? Even a coat of gesso or white acrylic would give you a completely different look, lovely shabby chic pale pink?! Happy WOYWW!

I felt the same way about always doing the same thing for Christmas, and I went pink Christmas. I did the whole tree pink too! now I've changed to blue.
ReplyDeleteLove the card!

Lots of lovely Christmas goodies on your desk Sandi - Love the angel tag. I seem to be more and more drawn to all things vintage lately. I know what you mean about repetition - it can take the shine off the most lovely designs. Rest assured the design is still lovely. Happy WOYWW to you from Helen 30
ReplyDeleteMy eyes were immediately drawn to the sparkly ribbons!! Once a magpie, always a magpie - anything sparkly and I'm your girl, LOL

ReplyDeleteIt's looks so Christmassy here, I love all of the snow. I know what you mean about making repetitive cards, just decline any offers for Wedding cards.
ReplyDeleteI would feel the same way about the cards! My max is about 10 and then I have to do something different :)
ReplyDeletehi there
ReplyDeleteit is difficult to know when to quit with a design, but i always say, if it ain't working .... it ain't working.... so give up.

Well, good for you for keeping at it year-after-year, Sandi! Thatta girl! My friend, Di, would have happily taken all that pink cardstock off your hands!! I think it makes a pretty non-traditional colored card, which is all the rage this year.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit to me, which I preshiate! Have a wonderful couple of weeks as I'll be off next Wednesday prepping for our Thanksgiving pigout on turkey. Darnell #41
I am so late visiting this week. Life has got in the way, mainly a dreadful smell in the living room which we cannot track down, so everything has been washed and shampooed to within an inch of its life. I quite agree about hating repeating cards, even two of the same is annoying. Well done for managing to use them up over the years though. Thank you for your visit this week and your kind comments. xx Maggie #24
